Recognized as an innovator in super modified racing, Nolan Swift Jr. became an Oswego Speedway track legend. The hall of famer raced from 1951 to 1978 and one of his signatures was his “10 Pins” logo. Swift racked up an estimated 250 feature victories during his stellar career and retired as one of Oswego Speedway’s winningest drivers.
 

Swift won 42 features in the Oswego Modified Stock Car era and added 41 Super Modified races at Oswego. In 1952, he was the New York State NASCAR Champion. He captured the Oswego Speedway Track Championship eight times and also took home six Oswego 200-Lap International Classic titles.

In addition to his driving success, Swift and long-time partner Bill Wright designed the first steel-tube space frame modified race car.
