24 Second Shot Clock Dedication and Celebration Luncheon

The Greater Syracuse Sports Hall of Fame in cooperation with the Syracuse Parks and Recreation Department held a unveiling of a full-size memorial street clock dedicated on March 26th, 2005. This monument will pay special tribute to honor the rule that changed basketball and saved the National Basketball Association, and has also brought pride and honor to our great city. This unveiling was the highlight of fan festivities held during the NCAA Men’s Basketball Syracuse Regional Finals.

 

The schedule for March 26th unveiling of the clock was held at 11:00AM hosted by Mayor Matthew Driscoll, a celebration luncheon at the MOST followed, attended by members of the Syracuse Nationals, NCAA executives, the national media and local enthusiast. After the lunch, fans were treated by the showing of the Time Warner video of the Syracuse Nationals … That Was Ten on the IMAX screen.
